18 years ago I finally had a breakthrough, mentally and physically. I realized fitness needed to be part of the solution, and that my diet needed to be…well…not a diet. When people saw the results I achieved in a relatively short amount of time, I was often asked “What did you do?”. I wish it was more dramatic, but what I did was simple: I learned the right way to eat and train for the body I wanted, for the way I wanted to feel, and made it my lifestyle.
Over time, I realized how many women of our generation were struggling, wanting to make changes but having not knowing what to do after years of Weight Watchers, Slim Fast and cardio. Confused and overwhelmed by all the conflicting information in the diet and fitness industry, ready to give up after trying so many times without lasting results…
So I decided to become a coach. I earned my certifications in performance nutrition, personal training, health coaching and behaviour change so I could help other women achieve their goals. The transformation I went thought, physically and mentally changed my life and I wanted to help other women feel the way I felt. To show them that everything they want is possible, no matter where they’re starting from.
The knowledge I gained from textbooks and almost 20 years as a nutrition and fitness nerd has become the foundation of the Fit Life Formula. Our many success stories are from women - like me - who weren’t ready to give up, who made themselves a priority, and who believed that what they wanted was possible - at any age!
